Nursing professional development, also known as continuing nursing education, includes presentations, courses, and webinars directly related to best practices in nursing. While not all states require a specific number of contact hours annually for real licensure of registered nurses, all nurses can benefit from lifelong learning both personally and professionally.

Dr. Hinton is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in nursing professional development and has over twenty years of experience providing nursing continuing education offerings and conference presentations related to professional development. Her professional experience includes administration of a state level accredited approver unit and several organizational nursing professional development provider units. In addition, Dr. Hinton has written and presented over fifty continuing nursing education activities and provided the educational administration for several multi-day conferences.
